Attorney D'Agosto earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Providence College in 1991 with academic honors. Attorney D'Agosto then attended Western New England School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1994 with honors, cum laude. He graduated with the distinct honor of being at the top of his class. While in law school, Attorney D'Agosto had the further distinction of being selected for the Western New England Law Review.
Following law school, Attorney D'Agosto became associated with a local law firm, which was then known as Sousa & Associates LLC. Attorney D'Agosto handled all aspects of the firm's litigated matters, which included personal injury cases; worker's compensation cases; all types of domestic relations matters, including divorce, legal separation, custody, and support matters; criminal and motor vehicle matters; probate matters; and all types of real estate transactions. Attorney D'Agosto later became a partner in his firm, which thereafter became known as Sousa, Stone, & D'Agosto, LLC. While there, Attorney D'Agosto continued to handle all types of matters and took great pride in representing his clients. Attorney D'Agosto separated from his former firm in 2009 with Attorney Howe to form our practice at D'Agosto & Howe, LLC, where Attorney D'Agosto continues his unrelenting efforts to represent the people of Connecticut.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
