Attorney Information
Overview
Bill is a member of Pratcher Krayer LLC practicing in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation. Bill graduated from LaSalle University the Widener Law School in Wilmington Delaware. While in law school, Bill received invaluable court room experience as a law clerk in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. During this clerkship, Bill was prosecuting misdemeanor trials and preliminary hearings in both Municipal Court and Family Court.
After graduating law school, Bill spent over a decade defending insurance companies in personal injury lawsuits. During this time, Bill worked for a regional defense law firm and as staff counsel for one of the country’s largest insurance carriers. This experience has provided Bill with a keen insight on how insurance carriers value and defend claims.
Prior to joining Pratcher Krayer, Bill was employed by another personal injury and workers’ compensation firm in Wilmington, Delaware where he represented injured clients. During this time, Bill successfully tried one of the first personal injury cases after the Covid-19 pandemic, where he received a verdict over four times the last pretrial offer from the insurance company.
When Bill is not in the courtroom, you can find him on the basketball court or any field in New Castle County as he dedicates much of his free time coaching youth sports.
Bill was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2004 and the Delaware Bar in 2006. He is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association, the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
