Hi, I got introduced to Paul Harr and his law firm back in 1996 through a friend who needed me to help with the ttranslation in a very difficult case since it was already had passed the legal timeline to apply. Basically when we went to Mr. Harr for the case we were so hopeless to even be able to apply to being with, so so hhopeless but after the initial meeting with him and him reviewing the case not only he found a new way to apply he was very successful in achieving a great result and now after 25 years later my friends had became a very successful doctor and working in hospital in LA and have very successful marriage and happy family.. Paul Haar is throughly a genius in his field since my friend was rejected by so many other layers and was totally that she had already passed the legal timeline to apply and there was no way she can file but Paul made it happen and this case became an American dream come through.. since then I had used Paul Haar so successfully for myself and my family and friends. One day I got a call from one of my friends from immigration jail which he had another attorney but he was arrested during his case while he was being represented by another lawyer and he was crying for being in jail for over a month and his lawyer is not being able to do anything for him and now its over a month that he had been in jail, I immediately called Mr. Paul Haar and explained the situation and since it was already Friday afternoon he apologized that he can't do anything about it over the weekend since it was Friday afternoon but by next Monday my friend was released from jail and within a few short months the guy got his green card and brought him wife to USA from Egypt, I had worked with Paul on and about 10 case the man is throughly a genius and so knowledgeable and creative.. I owe him a lot to top all of he is a gentleman and scholar it's an honor for me to be able to know him and call him my friend now... to me he not just an attorney he is very good friend now.. what sets Paul a part for the rest is his high IQ intelligence and compassion.. I'll give him 100% without a doubt..

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
