Attorney Information
Overview
David G. Ross is a commercial litigator and business, franchise, and employment lawyer who is licensed in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New Jersey. In his two decades of practice, Mr. Ross has represented clients in various state and federal courts throughout the country and been exposed to a variety of industries (e.g., hotel, fast-food, retail, senior care, accounting, and health club), franchise systems (or “franchise brands”), and issues.
Mr. Ross regularly provides non-litigation services as well. His transactional practice includes the review and negotiation of asset purchase/buy-sell agreements, franchise agreements, non-compete/non-disclosure contracts, employment-related agreements, and other contracts. He also works as an "outside general counsel" who provides day-to-day and as-needed advice to his business clients and as a "pre-litigation" representative who helps clients amicably settle disputes. Indeed, Mr. Ross's transactional and advisory work is informed by his experience as a trial lawyer. Having seen firsthand the ultimate consequences of many types of business actions and inactions, he is better able to foresee potential problems and therefore put his clients in a better position to either avoid liability or prevail in future lawsuits.
Mr. Ross is particularly proud of the trust his clients place in him of the kind words contained on his website's "Testimonials" page.
