Overview
I am Alfred Guillaume III, the founder and principal attorney of the Law Offices of Alfred Guillaume III, LLC, a criminal defense firm founded in 2011. The firm is a full-service criminal defense firm, equipped to handle any type of criminal case, with a specialized focus on defending serious traffic matters such as DUI/DWI and federal cases.
The firm’s main office is in Washington D.C., with a satellite office in Greenbelt, MD. I have represented clients in the federal courts of Maryland and D.C., in different State courts in Maryland, and the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
Prior to founding the firm, I worked as a state prosecutor for five and a half years. With years of experience in criminal law, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in criminal defense cases. I am proud of the results obtained for our firm’s clients throughout the years, whether it’s a not guilty after a jury trial or a negotiated agreement where my client does not spend one day in prison. Whether my clients are dealing with misdemeanors, felonies, DUI charges or other criminal matters, I am equipped to handle any type of case, and my goal is to always obtain the best possible result for my client.
I understand the intense pressures my clients face, and I work with them to achieve their goals while simultaneously providing them the support they need and the confidence that their legal matters will be handled with diligence and care. I take on all their legal burdens while they focus on those who matter the most to them.
My firm has the resources to take on the State or federal government, level the playing field for my clients and give them a genuine fighting chance in their cases. My prior experience working as a prosecutor gives me a unique insight into the different strategies the government employs in criminal cases. I use the knowledge I gained as a prosecutor to help my clients get the best result in their cases.
