At Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP, Shaun’s practice has focused on qui tam, financial services litigation, and employment discrimination and retaliation, representing both individuals and classes. Working with a team of Sanford Heisler Sharp McKnight, LLP attorneys, Shaun has represented clients including:

• A whistleblower alleging that their company engaged in customs fraud, resulting in a $22.8 million customs fraud settlement.
• A whistleblower alleging that their company systematically overcharged the United States military, resulting in a $50 million settlement.
• A whistleblower alleging that their company engaged in SEC fraud by concealing its poor cybersecurity practices.
• A whistleblower alleging that Invitation Homes, one of the largest corporate landlords in the country, defrauded hundreds of California cities by failing to secure necessary permits for renovation work.
• A class of employees in General Electric’s retirement plan alleging that the retirement plan improperly offered proprietary funds, resulting in a $61 million settlement.
• A class of employees in Transamerica’s retirement plan alleging that the retirement plan invested in multiple funds that consistently underperformed their investment benchmarks, resulting in a $5.4 million settlement.
• A class of over 10,000 current and former African American Deputy U.S. Marshals and Detention Enforcement Officers who have experienced racism in hiring, promotions, and headquarters assignments from 1994 to the present
• A class of accounting and consulting professionals, culminating in a $10 million court-approved settlement agreement with KPMG, LLP

Shaun was recognized in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch. He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his honors business administration degree from the Ivey School of Business at Western University. While at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Shaun was an associate editor of the Journal of Law and Social Change, a member of the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic, and the founder of the Penn Law Coffee Club.

A member of the New York and District of Columbia bars, Shaun has co-authored an article that appeared in Law360 and presented at a conference on Whistleblowing and Retaliation Law.

When Shaun is not lawyering, he enjoys climbing and relearning how to play the piano.
