Attorney Information

Overview

Tara Tighe was born and raised in New York City. From an early age, she knew that she wanted to go to help people, but didn't know the best way to do that. Ms. Tighe attended Tufts University where she received a Bachelor's degree in history and Spanish with a minor in economics. She spent her junior year at La Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in Madrid, Spain studying European history and Spanish literature. At Tufts, Ms. Tighe was a member of the Women's Rugby Football Club and Alpha Omicron Pi Women's Fraternity.

As graduation approached, Ms. Tighe thought that she would become a teacher but also applied to law school. Ms. Tighe received a full-tuition merit scholarship to the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Ms. Tighe worked at the National Archives and Records Administration in its D.C. research room and Controlled Unclassified Information Office, the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, and at a small firm in Bethesda, Maryland. At G.W. Ms. Tighe was a member of the Grenadier International Law Moot Court team and won awards for both oral and written advocacy. She was also a member of the Law Revue where she sang and danced while poking fun at the stress of law school.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Tighe got a job working at a personal injury firm in Washington, D.C. When she settled her first case, the client was so appreciative that Ms. Tighe knew she'd made the right career choice. Since then she has represented hundreds of clients in DC, Maryland, and Virginia for injuries big and small in car crashes, falls, dog bites, salon injuries, mold inhalation injuries, and crush injuries. Though no amount of money can undo the harm done, it can help you rebuild your life.

Ms. Tighe is an active member of bar groups in the metro-DC area.

Ms. Tighe is licensed and practices in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Ms. Tighe lives in northern Virginia with her family and dog. She is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and spending time outdoors.
