Hired Attorney 1990-2020I am writing this to warn anyone considering Mark B Goldstein representation. My experience revealed a man who is not only professionally unscrupulous but personally volatile. His demeanor is frequently apoplectic, berating and threatening the very people who have paid him for his help. He is verbally abusive, bigoted, and creates a violent atmosphere that no client should endure. What I wouldn't have believed if I didnt see it with my own eyes , he added his daughter as a beneficiary to my Will. This is a disbarrable offense and an absolute betrayal of the trust a client is supposed to have for his Lawyer.Do not trust this man with your Legacy or your sanity.

Consulted Attorney 2020I had an opportunity to speak with Mr. Goldstein on a matter where his first approach was to threaten me with legal action for pursuing our claim. Then, after saying that he had over 33 years of experience, continued to bully and throw legal jargon around, and when none of it work, he reserved to threatening me with filing a police report if we pursue our complaint with authorities. At the same time, he was unprepared, did not know what our company does, or what the substance of the issue is. The bully approach did not work, and we continued to pursue justice and damages. I am not aware of any attorney who can settle the matters by conflict, so if you are trying to resolve your thing stay away from someone who uses conflict as the first tool at their disposal.

Hired Attorney 2019I am the seller on a property, title was ordered, not by me with Mark Goldstein, Esq in Boca Raton, Fl. About 10 business hours before my wife and are headed out of town on a trip we signed the closing package with Angela Warshefski, who I believe is his paralegal. I did not sign the closing statement as there were several charges on there I did not believe I was responsible for and questioned it. She looked at the agreement of sale and said it says the buyer is supposed to pay for them in a huff almost mad that I questioned these approximately $1,000.00 in charges. She left the office, which by the way she was 30 minutes late to our meeting and I am guessing within 45 minutes we received an email saying there were not doing the closing and she was shredding the paperwork which we had signed. Closing is set for 4 business days from this point with us the seller going out of town. I called her boss Mark Goldstein and he called me back, he was on fire sounding like a lunatic from the moment he called me. Not letting me say almost a word. Telling be to F--k myself several times, calling me a dick, then he said he bet I was poor and he called me a poor d--k who had no money, who should go to legal aid. He also twice told me to come down to his office and he would take care of me. He called me every curse word and every insult that I think I have ever heard. There was no talking to him. All while yelling like a deranged insane person and threatening me over and over again physically and legally. I have been involved with countless transactions and I must say I have never encountered people like this. These is more, but I wanted the reader to be warned and get the point.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
