Overview
"Jessica Carrier grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to Miami, Florida with her family in the early 1980's. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University located in Bloomington, Indiana in December of 1998.
Jessica received her Juris Doctorate in May of 2002 from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, with a Concentration in International Law and Business. She was the Senior Editor of the ILSA Journal of International & Comparative Law, Spanish Language Edition from 2001-2002. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in September of 2002.
Since 2002, Jessica has primarily focused in the area of workers' compensation. Jessica has years of experience representing both the interests of the Employer/Carrier/Servicing Agent's and the rights of the Injured Worker. Beginning in May of 2018, Jessica served the State of Florida, specifically Manatee and Sarasota Counties, as Senior Attorney and State Mediator for the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims. Her experience brings a unique and well-rounded perspective, providing effective and zealous advocacy on behalf of her clients.
She has served as an Adjunct Professor of Civil Pretrial Practice at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center from 2009-2010. Jessica is fluent in Spanish and Certified by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce in Business Spanish.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Jessica is a classically trained vocalist and enjoys serving her community through music and the arts. Jessica and her husband enjoy serving their community together through volunteering and participating in children's charities.
Jessica considers it a privilege to defend the rights of the Injured Worker and a great honor to assist the Injured and their families in navigating the Florida Workers' Compensation system."
