Overview
Owner/President Jenna Finkelstein resides in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she has lived for the last 22 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. Jenna also loves traveling and Pilates. Her only child is her French Bulldog, Ben Franklin ("Benny"), who is the light of her life and the mascot for the Finkelstein Firm, P.A.
Jenna earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She received her B.A. in Criminology with a minor in Psychology. She went on to attend Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. There she earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and a Concentration in Advocacy certification.
Jenna completed an internship at the Public Defender's Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, where she then began her professional career. She worked as an Assistant Public Defender for seven years and was a partner/owner of the Law Offices of Powers Sellers & Finkelstein for over 11 years. Her experience defending individuals charged with crimes in the state of Florida ranges from domestic battery to DUI Manslaughter, Drug Trafficking, First Degree Murder, and all crimes in between. Jenna is qualified by the courts of our state to represent those charged with Capital Murder for which the State of Florida is seeking the Death Penalty. There are very few attorneys qualified to accept these extremely serious and substantial cases.
Jenna has aggressively defended clients in over 70 jury trials and has negotiated thousands of favorable dispositions in her career thus far. She has experience handling complex criminal cases such as the sexual battery, lewd and lascivious battery/molestation, armed bank robbery, and drug trafficking. Jenna's vast experience has given her invaluable insight into the workings of State Attorney's Offices, as well as many police agencies and other state departments.
