Overview
Katie Rallo was born and raised in Florida. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Psychology. She then attended law school at Western New England University where she worked fulltime throughout law school at various firms in New England with a focus in civil litigation. After graduation she began her legal career in private practice in Connecticut where she became a criminal trial lawyer and practiced in personal injury, family, and all criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors to major felonies and murder cases.
With her own family growing, Katie made the decision to move back to Florida to be closer to her family. She joined the Public Defender's Office in the 18th Judicial Circuit and began as a trial attorney in the felony division gaining invaluable trial and courtroom experience here in Brevard County. Katie made the decision to return to private practice several years ago and joined the GMTB Law criminal division where she has been a criminal trial attorney ever since. Katie continues to fight for the rights of those accused in criminal matters from misdemeanors to capital felony offenses including murder cases and representing individuals in civil injunctions or under the Marsy's Law legislation protecting victim's rights.
In addition to her criminal caseload Katie is a Director on the Board of Directors for the Brevard County Bar Association and she is the Chairperson for the 18th Judicial Circuit Highschool Mock Trial Competition each year. She is also on the committee for Diversity and Inclusion through the Brevard County Bar Association and actively participates in many of the other Brevard Bar Association's committees, seminars, events and projects. In her spare time Katie coaches for her local Basketball Police Athletic League and volunteers for various children's non-profits around Brevard County giving back to her community.
Katie offers consultations for criminal matters in one of our two offices: Palm Bay or Cocoa as well as in person consults at the Brevard County Jail.
