Before entering law school, she worked as an interpreter for affirmative asylum interviews and later as a legal assistant at a respected immigration law firm in New York, where she gained hands-on experience with a variety of immigration matters.

Attorney Qayyum earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2022, where she was actively involved in the Immigration Clinic. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Hunter College, where she represented the college at a Model United Nations conference, sharpening her skills in diplomacy and cross-cultural communication.

Originally from Russia, Attorney Qayyum lived in New York for ten years before relocating to Florida. As an immigrant herself, she understands the complexities of the immigration process and is committed to guiding clients through it with compassion, clarity, and strong advocacy.
