Overview

Adam J. Azoulay got his professional start in the entertainment industry in 2008, working on a variety of film productions. He is an alumnus of the University of Central Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and graduating with honors. He went on to attend law school at the University of Florida, graduating in 2015 with a special certificate in Intellectual Property law, and a pro bono certificate for the free legal services he provided to the local business community. He is a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

In his legal career, he first worked for a music streaming service, and became well versed in the complexities of copyright code as it relates to music, and in general. He clerked at one of Florida's largest firms, where he was subsequently hired on as an associate attorney. There he helped start-up companies with their corporate formation and intellectual property needs, before deciding to leave a big firm and join Sharon L Azoulay PA.

He has years of experience with corporate law, trademark law, trade secrets, contracts, licensing, publishing, and more. After five years of working in the IP sector, he transitioned his contract drafting skills to a practice in wills, trusts, and estates. Because of his many years of contract drafting experience, he is able to bring a unique approach to drafting wills and other estate documents. He enjoys working in a smaller firm because of the personal attention and time that he is able to give to each of his clients.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
