Bathche Fils-AIme, Esq. is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience handling civil and criminal matters in Florida Courts. Her background consists of years of courtroom advocacy, motion practice, depositions, settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
Ms. Fils-AIme began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami Dade State Attorney's Office for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, where she prosecuted misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony cases, including first-degree felonies. In that role she handled contested hearings and litigated a wide range of evidentiary and procedural issues, including motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, motions in limine, probation violations, bond matters, and other pretrial proceedings.
Following her service as a prosecutor, Mrs. Fils-Aime transitions into civil litigation focusing extensively on first party property insurance disputes. Ms. Fils-Aime practiced with Florida Insurance Law Group and Universal Property & Casualty Insurance where she managed substantial litigation caseloads involving dozens of active matters at a time and has represented clients through all stages of litigation. Her experience includes handling trials, conducting fact and expert depositions, developing case strategy, negotiating settlements, participating in mediations and arbitrations, and researching drafting and arguing dispositive and evidentiary motions.
Ms. Fils-Aime earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levein College of Law where she also served as Student Body Vice President. While in law school, she also served as a Trial Practice Teaching Assistant and complete in mock trial competitions, including the Southern Regional Thurgood Marshal Mock Trial Competition and the Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Competition.
She is admitted to proactive in Florida ns the District of Columbia and is fluent in Haitian Creole.
