Overview
Jessica L. Klein is a partner with Mathis Law Group, having previously served as an associate and senior associate with the firm since 2021. With over 15 years of litigation experience, Jessica is versed in complex civil and commercial litigation including business disputes, automobile liability claims, insurance defense and coverage disputes, construction lien enforcement, commercial debt collection, labor and employment law, as well as the prosecution and defense of cargo and PACA claims. Through her practice, Jessica strives to exceed expectations by maximizing client recovery and outcomes, while minimizing client exposure and associated costs. Jessica provides a practical approach to litigation and will develop a case strategy tailored to each client’s specific business needs.
Prior to joining Mathis Law Group, Jessica spent her career representing both businesses and individuals in a wide variety of transactional and litigation matters. She has an extensive background in subrogation and negligence claims, insurance defense, creditors’ rights, healthcare and commercial litigation. Jessica has successfully litigated numerous cases from inception through trial, including receipt of a favorable trial judgment in excess of $2 million. In addition, Jessica has achieved favorable outcomes for her clients through arbitration proceedings and appeals.
Jessica is an avid animal lover and spent a year working with her local humane society to develop community outreach initiatives and advance animal welfare legislation and public policies, including local restrictions on the sale of cats and dogs from puppy and kitten mills. Jessica enjoys hiking and kayaking with her husband, who is a busy aerospace engineer, as well as spending time at home gardening and with her pets.
