Abigail G. Saldana - Jacksonville, FL

Abigail G. Saldana is a litigator whose practice focuses on business and commercial litigation throughout Florida, as well as intellectual property matters. She represents clients in disputes involving contracts, business torts, trade secret misappropriation, nondisclosure agreements, and other complex commercial matters. Abigail takes a practical and strategic approach to resolving disputes through litigation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution.

Abigail also advises clients on protecting, managing, and enforcing their intellectual property. She has handled over 150 federal trademark matters and assists clients with trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio strategy. Her experience includes preparing state and federal trademark applications, representing clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, copyright registration, and responding to copyright infringement claims and demands.

Before joining Lesak, Hamilton, Calhoun & Pontieri, Abigail served as legal counsel for an early-stage healthcare technology company. In that role, she advised company leadership on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, artificial intelligence governance, and intellectual property. She negotiated commercial agreements and developed the company’s legal and compliance infrastructure as it expanded its national digital healthcare operations. This experience gives Abigail insight into the legal and operational challenges businesses encounter as they grow, including the need to balance commercial objectives with regulatory requirements, contractual risk, internal governance, and intellectual-property protection. She draws on that perspective to help clients develop legal strategies that account for both their immediate needs and broader business goals.

Prior to moving in-house, Abigail represented businesses and institutional clients in complex commercial litigation and intellectual property matters. Representative matters include contract disputes, business torts, trade secret misappropriation, zoning disputes, and enforcement of nondisclosure agreements. She also previously represented hospital systems and physicians in medical malpractice litigation, Department of Health administrative proceedings, and guardianship matters.

Abigail earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she earned awards for academic excellence in trial practice, social media discovery, and expungement clinic, and received the Best Brief Award for her participation in the school's Entertainment Law Moot Court Team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Liberty University.

Before beginning her legal career, Abigail participated in Miss America programs, serving as Miss Colorado’s Outstanding Teen in 2014 and Miss Historic Greeneville in 2019 and using those roles to support children’s health and other community-service initiatives.

Having grown up in Colorado, Abigail moved to Jacksonville following law school. Outside the office, she enjoys playing the piano, running, and spending time with her husband, Alex, and their two dogs, Bunny and Birdie.
