Attorney Information

Overview

I was born in Texas as the child of an immigrant, an experience that shaped my perspective early in life and instilled in me a deep appreciation for opportunity, hard work, and service. Growing up, I saw firsthand how complex legal and financial systems can feel overwhelming to individuals and families who are simply trying to do the right thing. That perspective continues to guide my work as an attorney today. I attended Prairie View A&M University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Naval Science. I developed a strong foundation in government, public policy, and leadership. In May 2012, I was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy, beginning a demanding and formative chapter of my career. I served five years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy. In this role, I managed complex systems, led enlisted personnel, and was responsible for mission execution and the safety of the ship and crew. This experience required precision, accountability, and sound decision-making under pressure, and it instilled in me discipline, leadership, attention to detail, and an unwavering sense of responsibility—skills that directly inform my legal practice. After completing my military service, I transitioned from the Navy to the legal profession. I was drawn to law because it allows me to advocate for others and provide clarity during moments of uncertainty. I earned my Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where I developed a strong interest in tax law and tax controversy. I came to understand that tax problems are often not the result of bad intent, but rather life circumstances, lack of information, or systems that are difficult to navigate without guidance. For many individuals and small business owners, dealing with the IRS can be intimidating and stressful. Helping clients through those challenges is where I found my purpose. Today, I focus my practice on tax law, assisting clients with resolving tax disputes, understanding their obligations, and regaining financial stability. I approach each case with the same mindset I carried as a naval officer: assess the situation carefully, develop a clear strategy, and advocate relentlessly for the best possible outcome. As a veteran and the child of an immigrant, I bring both structure and empathy to my work. I understand the importance of clear communication, trust, and practical solutions. Helping people who are in need is not just a professional goal—it is the reason I chose this path.
