Hired Law firm 2022Excellent Attorneys. Kind Staff and I loved working with them on my probate matter.

Hired Law firm 2020-2022Please read all reviews I signed and paid an $1800 dollar retainer in September of 2020 to handle contempts. The hearing was dragged out until January 2022 and I have been invoiced over $15000. Not only that but the night before my hearing I am told Winter Spires will not be representing me and that she is having an old colleague fill in. I never spoke to this attorney until the day of my hearing. The blame game and the finger pointing I experienced as well. This is an attorney who will give you false hope she is lazy full of excuses and all correspondence is through email. Winter Spires will sell you nothing but lies and give you false hope. Words can't express what I have experienced... it is criminal. I expected more out of someone who has a father so involved in helping a community. Looking back she's got a great sales pitch and all of her excuses involved her own children, She has no regard for anyone else's. If anyone is looking for legal help please do not make the same mistake myself and the above reviewers have made.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
