Attorney Information
Overview
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Santana was both a Public Defender in Leon County, Florida and an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office where he served as a courtroom training attorney and was amongst the most active trial attorneys in his class. He took over two dozen cases to jury verdict in addition to countless more bench trials for a variety of criminal prosecutions ranging from DUIs to all degrees of felonies.
After transitioning to civil practice, Mr. Santana joined two prestigious Miami law firms well-known in the legal community for their defense prowess. During that time, he litigated countless personal injury and medical malpractice actions while representing physician groups, medical facilities and entertainment venues, and their respective insurance companies. This provided him in-depth insight on how insurance companies evaluate personal injury claims and their strategic mechanisms for defending such cases. Moreover, his time in the medical malpractice arena gives Mr. Santana a distinct advantage when assessing the intricacies of an acute injury to not only prove his case, but to ensure his clients receive the appropriate care given their unique circumstances.
With this background in mind, Mr. Santana has firsthand knowledge of how best to approach such claims against those same kinds of institutions on behalf of his clients when they have been injured due to another's negligence. This, in turn, enables him to attain maximum value for each claim. He is a trial attorney, first and foremost, and uses those skills to zealously litigate for his clients today.
