He has been recognized by fellow attorneys as one of Florida's best trial lawyers in the field of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, elder neglect and abuse and civil trial practice. Mr. Ellenberg has obtained significant results for his clients in a wide variety of personal injury and wrongful death cases. For more than twenty five years he has been vigorously pursuing his clients' rights to money damages in cases where personal injury or death has been the result of carelessness, negligence, product liability, medical malpractice or the violation of other legal rights. Mr. Ellenberg has earned a statewide reputation for excellence in handling all manner of personal injury and wrongful death cases. He has developed particular expertise in cases involving birth injuries caused by the neglect of health care providers during pregnancy, labor and delivery. Handling birth injury cases, whether they involve catastrophic brain injury to the newborn, or nerve damage which causes paralysis to a limb, requires a significant commitment of time, energy and expertise in order to properly demonstrate the cause of the injury as well as the financial and emotional toll on the injured child and family. He has achieved numerous substantial awards and settlements, including many multi-million dollar results, in cases involving cerebral palsy, brain damage, brachial plexus palsy, Erb's and Klumpke's palsy, and wrongful death.
Mr. Ellenberg spent the first few years of his practice primarily defending product manufacturers, airlines and airplane manufacturers, and the health care industry in high exposure personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits. That experience provided invaluable insight into how the insurance industry and the corporate world viewed, analyzed and resolved personal injury and wrongful death cases, product liability cases and medical malpractice cases. During those early years of practice he decided that his enthusiasm, talent and ability would be best served fighting for the rights of those injured, or the families of those who had died, as a result of defective products, careless healthcare or other neglect or abuse. Since 1991 he has devoted 100% of his practice to the representation of plaintiffs in cases of injury or death caused by neglect, abuse, medical malpractice, product liability or the violation of other legal rights.
Mr. Ellenberg has helped colleagues develop their skills and lectured to his peers about the handling of personal injury and wrongful death cases, medical negligence cases, trial advocacy, elder abuse and nursing home abuse and neglect. He has co-authored several articles and publications on these subjects.
Mr. Ellenberg and the firm handle cases all over the State of Florida and welcome referrals from local, regional and out of state attorneys.
