Overview
Taylor Duncker is an associate attorney at Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A., where her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. She represents clients in a broad range of business disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings, involving matters such as franchise disputes, business torts, contractual claims, fraud-related litigation, restrictive covenants, and other high-stakes commercial conflicts. Her practice also includes experience with franchise disclosure documents and litigation arising from violations of the FTC Franchise Rule.
Ms. Duncker also assists with appellate matters at both the state and federal levels, including briefing dispositive legal issues and supporting appeals arising from complex commercial litigation. Her work frequently involves extensive legal research, motion practice, and strategic written and oral advocacy.
Ms. Duncker joined the firm as a law clerk in 2022 while attending law school and became an associate attorney in April 2025. Throughout her time at the firm, she has assisted with all phases of case development—from discovery, depositions, mediations, through evidentiary hearings and trial. Her appellate wins include securing the affirmance of a $5.2 million damages award in favor of one client, and in another, successfully overturning an adverse summary judgment ruling before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, leading to the Court’s full dismissal of the action.
Originally from California, Ms. Duncker attended Chapman University on scholarship, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance. She earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law, where she graduated as the Salutatorian of her class and received Dean’s List and Scholarship honors.
During law school, Ms. Duncker served as a Senior Staff Member of the Florida International University Law Review and was a member of the Florida International University Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocates, competing in appellate advocacy competitions. She also earned several CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, which are awarded to the top-performing student in a course.
Outside of the office, Ms. Duncker enjoys reading, snowboarding, and attending music festivals.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
