Consulted Law firm 2022"I got you" are actually the three best words you could ever hear. "I love you" is irrelevant and kinda shallow compared to "I got you"... When you get arrested, you are not in a good place. You can't think, you can't understand short-term things. You know that you are subjected to complying to the Police, but it's all very confusing and upsetting, to say the least. When I got out of jail (spent the night) and "The Process" started, I was referred to Shon Ductre. And that was the best thing that ever happened.... After 1 day of manic phone calls to him... sobbing,, seemingly crazy, not knowing if I'd lose all my income and just check-out (yes, I said that) he answered me within 24 hrs and took my info (which he already knew by Public Record) and said this.... "I got you." He. Alone. Had. Me. Not my gal pals calling foul, not my family sighing and saying, "If you need anything..." *whimper* Nope. Shon didn't just step-up, Shon Douctre did all the work while I was crying under a blanket. As I type this I realize how traumatized I was by my WPPD "stop". But Shon Douctre said, "I got you." And he did. He is worth his weight in gold. The best three words of "I got you" are actually better to hear than the visual of "We Won" that he wrote on his legal pad next to me while the Judge was giving her recommendation in my court case. If you have been arrested by The Law for any reason, I recommend Shon Douctre. He'll not only hold your hand through the legal processes, up to the day and in court, he will listen to your rants, sorrow, insecurities and ultimately... your Humanity. And that's what matters. Shon Douctre understands. Much better than the arresting officer. 🙂

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
