Schammua Policard - Orlando, FL

Schammua is an Associate Attorney in the Orlando office of Moore Ingram Johnson & Steele. Since 2023, she has been a member of the Litigation Department, and concentrates her practice in construction defect, premises liability, negligent security, wrongful death, automobile negligence, and general liability defense.

Schammua is a Florida native, raised in Orlando, Florida. She is of Haitian decent and speaks Haitian Creole. Schammua received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Summa Cum Laude, from Florida A&M University in 2016. She later obtained her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2020. While in law school, Schammua interned with the Honorable Vincent L. Johnson at the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. She also interned for at a civil litigation firm and participated in defense clinics.

Prior to joining MIJS, Schammua began her legal career at the State Attorney’s Office, Ninth Judicial Circuit, as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting misdemeanor, criminal traffic, and felony charges from preliminary examination of case through jury trial verdict. She also practiced as a civil defense attorney defending workers compensation claims.

On her spare time, Schammua enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
