Thomas L. Dickens, III, joined the national law firm of Morgan & Morgan, P.A., after practicing employment law with one of the top employment law firms in Florida.
He is a specialist in the field of employment law with both jury trial and bench trial experience. Mr. Dickens is also part of a unique group of civil trial attorneys who have practiced as both a civilian attorney and a military attorney. Because of this experience, he has concentrated his practice to specifically include prosecuting cases arising under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
Mr. Dickens has litigated claims throughout the state, under federal and state law, including sexual harassment, race, age, disability, gender as well as whistleblower claims. Additionally, Mr. Dickens defends veterans who have been discriminated against in their workplace, based on their military status.
Mr. Dickens is a combat veteran, having deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He has served in the Army as a platoon leader, detachment commander and a Judge Advocate. Mr. Dickens has been on multiple deployments as a Rule of Law advisor to both the Iraqi and Afghan governments.
Mr. Dickens received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University. Mr. Dickens is admitted to practice in Florida state courts, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle districts of Florida.
