Attorney Information
Overview
Esther Uria LaBovick, Esq., was born on October 13, 1965, in Orlando, FL. Mrs. LaBovick graduated Duke University in Durham, N.C., in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts. She graduated from University of Miami School of Law in 1990 with a Juris Doctorate. Mrs. LaBovick was admitted to the Florida and Federal Bar in 1990. Her first job was Assistant State Attorney for the Dade County State Attorney's Office under Janet Reno. At that time, Mrs. LaBovick prosecuted drunk drivers. For over 18 months she was trained as part of the special DUI prosecution unit in Dade County.
Early in her career, Mrs. LaBovick learned every aspect of how a DUI criminal can change the life of an innocent victim. In her three years with the State Attorney's Office she had the invaluable experience of countless jury trials. In 1994, when Janet Reno was appointed United States Attorney General, Mrs. LaBovick decided to leave the State Attorney's Office to practice in the private sector. She began overseeing a national caseload prosecuting insurance fraud with the National Counsel on Compensation Insurance (NCCI). This experience allowed her to see the inside of a large group of defense attorneys working to protect the insurance company.
After the firm of Brian F. LaBovick, PA., moved to Jupiter, FL in Palm Beach County, Mrs. LaBovick joined the firm as a Partner. The firm became known as LaBovick and LaBovick, P.A. and began to specialize in the following areas: personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, products liability injuries, and pharmaceutical drug injuries.
Mrs. LaBovick is very active in the community. She is currently a member of FAWL (Florida Association of Women Lawyers) and is on the Board for the Junior League of the Palm Beaches. In 1998-1999 she was the Chairperson for the Palm Beach County Eye and Ear Alert Program. She is also very active in fundraising and chairing committees for the Quantum House and The Benjamin School.
