Hired Attorney 2021I got lucky. I was just like you reading reviews of criminal attorneys, not knowing who to hire. I was in some trouble and needed some legal help. I happened to choose Tom Mcguire to represent me. Tom is a street smart attorney who fights for you. If you are reading this review not knowing where to turn...Contact Mcguire. Trust me on this...he kept me home with my family instead of doing 9 months in jail.

Hired Attorney 2018-2020Mr. McGuire happens to be the only lawyer we have used, but feel he was the best! He really cared about our family and our son from the start. We were able to meet with Mr. Guire about as quickly as we needed to speak to someone, and knew right away we were hiring him. There were many texts, calls and meetings leading up to the court date, and he kept us informed and as comfortable as possible along the way. Our son's situation ended up taking about 2 years to work itself all out, but Mr. McGuire helped us every step of the way. He even went above and beyond at the end and helped us get to the resolution we were looking for!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
