Anthony Gonzalez Esq. - Plantation, FL

Mr. Gonzalez has legal experience representing clients with their consumer financial services and other civil litigation issues. As a Plantation Florida Lawyer some of Mr. Gonzalez’s areas of practice involve: defense against Home Owner Association’s (HOA’s), Foreclose Defense, Credit Card Debt Defense, defending individuals who were being sued for Deficiency Judgments, Contract Disputes, representing clients in Federal Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of Florida.

LEADERSHIP, MEMBERSHIP & HONORS

Mr. Gonzalez is a proven leader with a passion for providing service to his community. While enrolled at TAMIU, Mr. Gonzalez served as a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and served as their President in 2007-08. During Mr. Gonzalez’s undergraduate studies, he became familiar with all different aspects of the criminal justice system; specifically, by partaking in unpaid internships at both the Laredo Police Department and at the Federal Public Defenders Office.

Mr. Gonzalez’s observed the criminal justice system first hand at the Laredo Police Department where he participated in ride along with police officers and observed the police departments normal interactions with citizens. On occasion he even viewed arrests and bookings for criminal violations. Mr. Gonzalez’s experience interning at the Federal Public Defenders Office allowed him to see what it was like for individuals who had already been incarcerated and were awaiting to speak with their attorney and/or were awaiting trial. These experiences allowed Mr. Gonzalez have benefited him as a Plantation Florida Lawyer. He has gained profound respect and admiration for the legislative branch (creates the laws), executive branch (includes our criminal justice system and those who enforce the laws), and the judicial system (most commonly comprised of the judges, attorneys, and jurors who make sure that the laws are properly enforced against an individual and/or entity).

SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY

Mr. Gonzalez was told throughout his childhood by his loving mother that, “it is more important to give a gift then to receive a gift.” Mr. Gonzalez was taught at a young age the importance of always lending a helping hand to the individuals in his community. To instill this principal, Mr. Gonzalez partook in the annual family tradition of volunteering at many community events as a young man which stemmed from feeding the homeless on Thanksgiving Day to cleaning up around his city.

After moving to South Florida to begin his career as a lawyer, Mr. Gonzalez always remembered the importance of assisting those in his community. Mr. Gonzalez has regularly volunteered at Feeding South Florida and at Jubilee Center of South Broward.

FEEDING SOUTH FLORIDA

Mr. Gonzalez’s volunteer work and efforts have served nearly 800,000 food insecure individuals in the quad-county service area. Mr. Gonzalez played a vital part in the daily operations by helping sort through donated food to ensure that it was safe to go back out to the community for consumption. Much of what of what is done at Feeding South Florida (“FSF”) is dependent on volunteer help in the warehouse. In addition, food donated from food drives, supermarkets and other food industry companies must be sorted, checked, and repackaged. Volunteers process the bulk of the food in salvage creating a constant need for individuals in that department. Without volunteers, FSF would not be able to sustain the more than 40 million pounds of food and grocery product that comes through their doors annually. Mr. Gonzalez’s efforts at FSF have been described by a Volunteer Coordinator as follows: Mr. Gonzalez was always willing to stay late, do the dirty work, and help ensure that the job gets done. We truly appreciated all of his work, dedication, and extra time donated to our organization.”

JUBILEE CENTER OF SOUTH BROWARD

Mr. Gonzalez has also volunteered regularly at Jubilee Center of South Broward (“JCSB”). The mission of JCSB is to provide emergency resources and relief from huger and despair by serving individuals and families through various programs, including their Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry, hygiene kits, clothing, and by providing these individuals information and referrals to other agencies throughout the County which may be able to assist them in their time of despair. The services that JCSB provides to the community are always free of charge. An office administrator of JCSB has stated the following about Mr. Gonzalez’s community service at the JCSB:[Mr. Gonzalez] has helped us with various tasks including prepping and serving lunch, stocking the pantry, cleaning and whatever projects needed to be done. We are glad to have had [Mr. Gonzalez] with us, he has gone above and beyond our expectations for a volunteer. Anthony has gained the love and respect of our entire staff and our clients. We are truly grateful for all of his hard work and dedication….

Mr. Gonzalez’s care for his South Florida community has resulted in over 195 hours of combined community service rendered at Feeding South Florida and the Jubilee Center of South Broward.
