Attorney Information
Overview
As the fourth child in a family of five, no one understands better than Kenneth that family life is not always easy. One of his earliest memories is of his older brothers attempting to glue him to a seat by taking elaborate measures to lure him into their carefully prepared chair. Yet, those same brothers were the first to jump in to protect Kenneth if ever anyone else threatened his well-being. Kenneth recognizes that family relationships can be "sticky" at times, but he also understands the value and importance of family. Kenneth grew up on a small ranch in rural northern California that has been in his family for several generations. He worked alongside his parents and siblings on the ranch and in their family business, where he learned not only life skills but also the importance of family relationships. Kenneth came to understand firsthand that life is not always easy for families Whether financial, emotional, or otherwise, families are at times faced with concerns and need somewhere to turn for guidance and assistance. Kenneth realized at an early age that one benefit of being part of a big family is that there is always someone willing to go to bat for you when times are tough. While this is comforting, some situations require expertise or assistance from outside the family.
Throughout Kenneth's childhood, his parents instilled in him an interest in being attentive to the needs of others. His parents were especially involved in the local community volunteering with civic service projects and outreach programs sponsored by their church. This influence prompted Kenneth to volunteer during law school as a summer intern at the Siskiyou County Public Defender's Office in his California hometown. Kenneth graduated, cum laude, in 2013 from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law and knew without a doubt he belonged in a Family Law practice. Continuing with the tradition of service, Kenneth's goal is to make legal services for families accessible and affordable. He understands the importance of core values and is committed to maintaining and protecting the integrity of families by finding the best alternatives and most cost-effective means of handling each client's unique situation. Just as Kenneth has worked beside his own family for more than three decades, he will stand beside his clients and work to provide representation and legal assistance on the issues mattering most to them and their families.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
