I have my life back now! I can actually sleep at night now knowing that I am IRS Compliant thanks to Tax Guards!. I received an IRS letter stating that my business was being audited. I let a friend of the family do my personal and business taxes and ended up getting audited. The IRS actually said by their records I owed over $20K! I knew there was no way I owed that kind of money but because my CPA had never been through a tax audit, we did not know what to expect. I searched out different firms that has handled these types of cases before but most all of the companies I called seemed to be more interested in how much money I could pay instead of what was going on with my audit case. I had a friend reccomend me to Tax Guards and I am very thankful that he did. I called Tax Guards and spoke to Daryl, he seemed very concerned about my case and immediately started asking questions about the specifics of my case. Me and Darryl must of spoke for 20 minutes while he took down my information and not 1 time did money come up. He then told me that I would be contacted by a gentlemans names of Tim Krusey. Let me tell you, this guy knows his tax business. I provided to him all the receipts, check books, IRS letters etc. From that moment on Tim Krusey and his staff handled my case. Turns out that Tim found where I was not getting credit for some taxes that I had already paid! The money Tim saved me more than made up for the cost to hire Tax Guards! Needless to say, Tax Guards not only does my quarterly taxes but they also do my book keeping so from here on I know I am compliant by IRS standards. With the assurance that my taxes are in order has let me concentrate on making money with my business. Thanks Mike Hindley, Tim Krusey, Darryl and the rest of Tax Guards Staff. I recommend them HIGHLY!!!

The entire staff was an absolute joy to deal with after IRS sent me a bill for a cancelled debt and then refused to allow the exclusion through insolvency to be rid of it. Words can not begin to express the comfort they brought me and they kept going until not only did the IRS agree I did not have to pay the rest, they gave me a refund of $13,000 I had overpaid! Best decision I've made was hiring them. Bless you!

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
