St Petersburg Real Estate Lawyer
Overview
Nathan joined Lake Law Firm in March 2021 as an associate attorney and self-proclaimed ‘learn-it-all' where he continues to grow and expand his legal experience. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from WMU Cooley Law School in 2020, where he was the recipient of various merit-based awards and recognitions, as well as an active member and competitor of both the Tampa Bay Moot Court Board and Tampa Bay Mock Trial Board, serving as the Chief Justice and President respectively. He also volunteered at Thomas M. Cooley Law School's Debt Relief Clinic guiding indigent clients through the process of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Prior to law school, he graduated from Indiana University majoring in Political Science, and spent a semester abroad at Mannheimer Abendakademie und Volkshochschule GmbH in Mannheim, Germany studying German Language.
Nathan has been nurturing his passion for law from a young age as he watched his late father's nearly 40-year legal career flourish. He was inspired to pursue a legal career himself by his inherent "passion for using law to discover truth and serve justice." He enjoys serving his community and advocating for his clients' best interests - legally, ethically, morally, and financially. Outside of the office, Nathan trades in his suit and tie for hiking shoes and a backpack, as he enjoys being in the great outdoors, soaking up all of the nature and travel that he can.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
