Paul Bernard - Stuart, FL

Paul Bernard is an Associate at Gordon & Partners in our Stuart office. He was raised on the Treasure Coast and has now chosen to dedicate his career to helping those in the community with their legal needs. Mr. Bernard represents clients who have been injured by holding accountable the corporations or persons that have caused them harm.

Mr. Bernard began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in the 19th Circuit for four and a half years. As an Assistant Public Defender, Mr. Bernard handled thousands of cases from simple misdemeanors to complex felonies.

What is also particularly unique about Mr. Bernard’s experience is his background as a former civil litigation defense attorney and his perspective into the mindset of insurance companies and corporate defendants. Because of this background, he has a unique understanding of how to maximize the value of a claim in order to ensure that clients receive maximum compensation for their injuries. Mr. Bernard is an experienced, hands-on trial attorney, who has tried more than a dozen jury trial cases in his career.

Before law school, Mr. Bernard earned his B.A. at Methodist University, where he majored in forensic science with a minor in legal studies. While at Methodist, Mr. Bernard was a student-athlete on the Men’s Basketball team. After graduation, Paul attended Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, where he earned his Juris Doctorate.

While attending law school, Mr. Bernard interned for the Public Defender’s Office of the 19th Circuit and a workers' compensation firm in Jacksonville, Florida where he gained invaluable legal experience, which helped him aspire to become the successful lawyer that he is today.
