Tampa Nursing Home Abuse Lawyer
Overview
Brian Thompson has been practicing law for over 25 years with 15 years in plaintiff's law. He received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University, magna cum laude, in 1979 and his Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, from Loyola School of Law in 1987.
For the first ten years of practice he represented the insurance companies in personal injury cases. Since then, for over ten years he has solely represented victims of abuse and neglect. Because of his extensive background and knowledge of the insurance industry he is better positioned to represent those who wish to file claims against them.
From 1987-1992 Mr. Thompson practiced with Gelpi, Sullivan, Caroll & Laborde in New Orleans. From 1992-1996 he practiced with Gunn, Ogden & Sullivan, P.A. in Tampa, and 1996 until 2006, with Wilkes & McHugh, P.A., where he was responsible for several multi-million dollar jury verdicts.
Mr. Thompson and John Cummings formed Thompson & Cummings, P.A. in April of 2006. They remained in practice until coming to Morgan and Morgan, P.A. in January, 2012. At Thompson & Cummings, P.A. he had two multi-million dollar jury verdicts.
Mr. Thompson is licensed to practice law in Florida, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Florida Bar, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been recognized as one of Florida's "Legal Elite" by Florida Trend magazine and has been named one of Florida's Super Lawyers consecutively since 2008.
