Overview

Jana Thornbury grew up in Sarasota, Florida, and has lived in Florida all of her life. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Economics in 2006. She earned her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Florida State University College of Law. During law school, she interned for the Office of the State Attorney, Second Judicial Circuit.

Ms. Thornbury‘s experience after law school included representing banks and financial institutions in creditors' rights proceedings. During her time litigating foreclosure actions, Ms. Thornbury tried over 100 non-jury trials across the State of Florida.

Acting on a desire to change course and begin representing individuals, she began litigating property insurance claims on behalf of homeowners, including those related to sinkhole damage. In 2014, she began working for a local law firm representing individuals in personal injury matters including wrongful death, premises liability, and auto negligence. She is proud to continue representing and fighting for the rights of injured individuals as an attorney with Morgan & Morgan.
