Overview
Marshall Schaap was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. He graduated from Belleview High School and then went to the University of Florida on a football scholarship. After two years at UF, he transferred to the University of Wyoming, where he graduated with a business degree. He then returned to Florida for law school, attending Stetson University College of Law, where he met his wife, Natalie. The couple has two remarkable daughters.
After spending more than a decade litigating injury cases at one of Tampa's best defense firms, Mr. Schaap joined Morgan & Morgan, where he represents people injured in vehicle accidents. With his background as an athlete who had a reputation as an aggressive, hard-nosed football player, he enjoys the intensity of trial as being similar to game day. Mr. Schaap enjoys getting to know his clients, and takes pride not only in getting his clients the best possible outcome, but also in giving them straightforward advice about their situation.
Mr. Schaap makes the most out of time with his family, and especially enjoys sharing his love of the outdoors with them, such as fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting.
As a Type 1 diabetic, he is a volunteer coach with Sam Fuld's USF Diabetes Sports Camp for children with Type 1 diabetes, and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
