Monique L'Italien - West Palm Beach, FL

Monique L’Italien was born in Neptune, New Jersey. She graduated, cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Trinity College in Washington D.C. and earned her law degree from Vermont Law School with a particular emphasis in environmental law.

Ms. L’Italien is a seasoned attorney who practiced environmental law and land use in both Washington D.C. and Florida for several years. She then became as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida practicing in the Criminal Appeals Division. Ms. L’Italien has argued before the Fourth District Court of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the United States District Court for the Eleventh Circuit.

In 2007, Ms. L’Italien shifted her focus to civil litigation, first for a private firm in Miami then as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division for the State of Florida where she represented the State in personal injury, civil rights and prisoner cases as well as practiced administrative law.

Ms. L’Italien joined the firm of Rosen Switkes & Entin P.L., in February 2009, where she currently practices in the areas of labor/employment law, civil rights litigation, and commercial litigation.

A member of the Florida Bar, Ms. L’Italien is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. L’Italien is passionate about volunteerism and presently serves as the Chair of the Animal Law Committee of the Florida Bar and is also an active member of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches.
