Hired Attorney 2023-2024DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM!!! I repeat do not use this horrible excuse of a law firm, unless your looking to be brushed off, only have things done half assed, enjoy disrespectful treatment, and have to work around the lawyers/paralegal's vacation schedule. Unfortunately, I took the recommendation of someone I met at my job after I was in a car accident. I found out later that he would get a cut of my settlement as a referral fee for the lawyers office. Kind of sketchy in my eyes and definitely rubbed me the wrong way. So like I said, I was involved in a car accident and the other drive was cited with a ticket for failure to yield when making a left hand turn. The office stated in the police report they were 100% at fault for the car accident. In the state of Georgia, drivers are required to have auto insurance. However, if the driver doesn't have insurance but isn't faulted for the accident they can still seek property damages. Due to life circumstances, my insurance had lapsed. But again I wasn't faulted for the accident. The paralegal, Michelle Copreros, didn't know how to go about handling my request for her to go after the value of my now TOTALLED CAR because of my lack of insurance. Her first comment was, "I'm not responsible for property damages. I just handle the personal injury." So I called the other drivers insurance only to be told they couldn't speak with me because I hired a lawyer. The second response I got from her, was "I'll seek the property damages once they accept my passenger's demand." Meanwhile I car sat in the tow yard for at least four months. The whole time I'm under the impression the other party's insurance has at least assessed the car. WRONG! I come to find out she never sent a demand letter for property value or communicated with the other insurance until seven months after the accident. By then the tow yard had auctioned off the car and State Farm denied my property damage request because NO ONE had been sent to appraise the damage and the car was no longer accessible. Thats just half of my complaints. The complete and utter disrespect and lack of sense of urgency are non existent! Everything is on their schedule, they say one thing and do complete opposite, and are VERY VERY shady about how your settlemtent money's handled. I know for a fact, because she sent me the original bill for my MRI. The MRI bill was $2,000 but somehow it went up to $4,000. She claimed she was able to reduce the bill back down to the actual price. She inflated the price to make it look like she got me a reduction of $2,000 but that was a lie. Her superior, Jessica Burkhart, was one of the rudest, disrespectful humans I've ever spoken to! She completely disregarded my need to understand why things weren't going the way I was told they were. As far as I understand, a paralegal is an extension of the lawyer. So she would of been copied on all communications butshe claimed she couldn't help me while her paralegal went out of town for 2 weeks. I could go on for years about all the reasons not to use this law firm but be smarter than I was. Don't use them, I promise you'll be better off and your pockets will thank you in the end.

Hired Attorney 2020-2021I was impressed from the moment I contacted Mr. Jensen and his paralegals; they were very responsive, thorough, knowledgeable, and they took care of my case in a timely manner. They kept me up to date as to the progress and made sure to answer any questions that I had. Everyone I had the pleasure of speaking to/working with was very professional, yet personable. 10/10 would recommend.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
