Between his time representing insurance companies and his work representing accident victims, Gary ran a successful business working in Georgia's film and television industry.

Gary graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, with honors. While there, he became Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. Prior to law school, Gary double-majored in Biology and Chemistry at Graceland University. Not only did Gary excel academically, he was also a campus leader, serving as President of his fraternity and Speaker of the Senate in student government.
