Atlanta Workers’ Compensation Lawyer
Overview
Ivy White practices workers' compensation law in Morgan & Morgan's Atlanta office. In addition to years of experience in civil litigation and workers' compensation, Ms. White gained personal experience with workers' compensation after a close family member was injured at work. Prior to joining Morgan and Morgan, she represented employers, insurers, self-insureds and third-party administrators in workers' compensation claims, giving her unique insight to both sides of workers' compensation claims. Now, Ms. White enjoys using her personal and professional experience to zealously advocate for injured workers and their families.
Ms. White was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but spent the majority of her childhood between Michigan, Georgia, and South Florida. She earned her associate's degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She then attended Georgia State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Spanish, with a concentration in International Business. Prior to attending law school at Georgia State University College of Law, Ms. White worked as a paralegal in a boutique family law firm specializing in high asset and complex divorce and family law matters.
While in law school, Ms. White clerked for the Honorable John J. Goger and the Honorable Alford J. Dempsey in Fulton County Superior Court. She was a student attorney on the school's mock trial team, and by her third year of law school, Ms. White was already representing domestic violence victims in Cobb County. She was also a recipient of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) Student Scholarship.
In addition to earning her JD, Ms. White also earned an MBA from Georgia State University J.Mack Robinson College of Business. She delivered the Student Commencement Address at Georgia State Law's 2016 Commencement Ceremonies, receiving the first standing ovation in the school's history.
