John D. Steel is the senior partner of Steel & Moss, LLP. For more than 30 years, he has dedicated his career to being a trial lawyer, and has specialized in civil cases focusing on serious injuries, wrongful death, railroad claims as well as individual business or contract disputes. He has obtained multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts for clients across the Southeast and Mid-West. Mr. Steel has been designated by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen as trial counsel since 1991.
Mr. Steel has received several honors and awards within the legal profession. Mr. Steel is a native of Durham, North Carolina. He is a 1984 graduate of the University of North Carolina Law School and a 1981 honors graduate of the University of North Carolina.
