Overview
Matt joined Protentis Law LLC in 2021 and has been practicing law for over 16 years. Prior to joining Protentis Law LLC, Matt worked for 12 years at a plaintiffs’ civil litigation firm in Atlanta, where he gained significant litigation and trial experience handling a wide variety of cases involving everything from catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims to property damage subrogation losses caused by fires, explosions, negligent construction and defective products. Before that, Matt worked for several years in the casualty litigation section of a large firm, representing clients in the defense of medical malpractice, workers’ compensation and other tort claims.
Matt grew up in Rome, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He went on to earn his law degree from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review.
Matt is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He is also licensed in Louisiana, where he has been admitted to practice in all state and federal courts. Matt is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and has an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating given to attorneys based on legal ability, ethics, and professionalism.
