Attorney Information
Overview
Michael J. Warshauer is a plaintiff's trial lawyer. Michael believes that in most cases serious injuries do not occur in the absence of some carelessness. He is dedicated to the pursuit of the highest possible compensation for people who are injured or killed through the fault of another.
Michael has helped people recover compensation, at the court house and in the office, in cases involving railroad employee injuries and crossing incidents, car and truck wrecks, false arrest, slip and fall incidents, malpractice by medical and legal professionals, and more. While Michael genuinely enjoys all types of cases, in addition to his vast knowledge of and love for railroad cases, he also enjoys tackling complicated product liability cases. These cases usually involve defective or poorly designed equipment or products that kill or maim consumers and workers. Michael enjoys sifting through intricate mechanical and scientific theories, detailed blueprints and other engineering matters to figure out a theory of recovery and how to explain that theory, in layman's terms, to his clients and to a jury.
Consistent with the firm's philosophy of keeping its clients informed about the law, Michael regularly teaches law to other lawyers as an invited speaker at continuing legal education seminars. He also frequently speaks at union meetings to educate railroad workers about the special laws which govern them. His knowledge of the special laws governing railroad workers has been published as a chapter in an encyclopedia of law.
Michael's continuous efforts to stay abreast of the law, to insist that clients are informed about their cases - the good parts and the bad, to properly prepare cases for trial - not settlement, and solid courtroom technique serve as the backbone of Warshauer Woodward Atkins.
