Scott Fortas - Atlanta, GA

Scott Fortas concentrates his practice on criminal and traffic ticket defense, consumer law and personal injury and has been licensed and practicing law in the state of Georgia since 1999.

Mr. Fortas began his career as the managing partner of the Georgia division of Krohn and Moss, Ltd. Consumer Law Center from 1999-2005. At that time his trial and appellate cases helped to sculpt the current consumer advocacy laws in Georgia.

In 2006, Scott founded the Fortas Law Group to provide additional legal assistance to those in need of traffic and criminal defense. He has handled thousands of traffic cases, diligently working to minimize the impact of traffic infractions. Mr. Fortas has successfully litigated and settled hundreds of serious criminal cases, high-dollar personal injury claims, and lemon law/consumer fraud cases against automobile manufacturers and dealerships for Georgia drivers.

Scott joined Hawkins, Spizman, Fortas in 2018 to further develop his practice and continue to fight for those in need. He heads the firm’s traffic and consumer advocacy divisions.

He is a member in good standing of the Georgia Bar and has been admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals. Scott comes from a long and respected legacy of prominent lawyers, as his Uncle Abe Fortas served as a United States Supreme Court Justice from 1965-1969.
