Wayne A. Morrison's practice focuses in the areas of family law, where he effectively represents clients in divorces, child custody disputes, modification of child support and alimony, and related domestic issues. He is able to utilize his background as a financial analyst to effectively work with accountants and other professionals in evaluating assets to ensure that clients are treated fairly and given an equitable share of their marital assets. Mr. Morrison is also experienced in representing clients in business litigation, and product liability and premises liability matters. He has successfully represented individuals and business entities in breach of contract claims and shareholder disputes involving closely held corporations.
Mr. Morrison is admitted to practice in Georgia; U.S. District Court, Northern District of Georgia; U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit; Georgia Court of Appeals; and the Georgia Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb County Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association.
Mr. Morrison received his J.D. in 1996 from the University of Georgia, and earned his B.S. with a major in finance from Virginia Tech in 1989. Prior to attending law school, he worked for four years as a financial analyst for a fortune 500 company. Currently, Mr. Morrison resides in Marietta with his wife, Susan, and their four children, Alexandra, Joseph, Emma and Sophia.
