Attorney Information
Overview
Ben Haggerty has dedicated his legal career to fighting for people who have been wrongfully injured, representing clients across Georgia since 2017. An Albany, Georgia native through and through, Ben earned his B.S. in Psychology from Valdosta State University before going on to earn his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School. He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Dougherty County Bar Association, and in 2019 was recognized by the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce as one of their 40 Under 40 - an honor that reflects both his early impact in the legal community and his commitment to the region he calls home.
Ben began his career in insurance defense and general civil litigation, gaining an insider's understanding of how insurance carriers assess risk, build their defenses, and work to minimize payouts. That experience was deliberate. Armed with that knowledge, he made the move to dedicating his practice to representing people injured in motor vehicle accidents, trucking and commercial vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, catastrophic accidents, nursing home abuse, premises liability, wrongful death, motorcycle accidents, and workers' compensation matters. Knowing how the other side thinks before they even walk into the room is one of the most powerful tools an attorney can have, and Ben uses it every day to pursue the strongest possible outcome for his clients.
When he is not in the office, Ben is most likely on the golf course, out in the open air, or settled in with a good book or a great movie. More than anything, he values the time he gets to spend with the people he loves. That same appreciation for community and connection is what drew him to this work in the first place and what keeps him showing up for his clients at their most vulnerable moments.
