Overview
Josie A. Siemon is a Partner and Co-Founder of The Siemon Law Firm Divorce and Family Law Attorneys, P.C. More than twenty years ago, Josie and her husband, Sam, founded TSLF with a bold vision: to create a more strategic, structured, and client-centered approach to family law. What began as a shared commitment to doing things differently has grown into a highly respected, multi-office firm known for its team-based model, operational excellence, and results-driven representation.
While Josie began her career with a strong litigation background in family law, she now serves in a leadership capacity focused on the firm’s growth, long-term strategy, and organizational development. She oversees firm infrastructure, talent development, technology implementation, and operational systems designed to ensure consistency, accountability, and exceptional client service. Josie is deeply involved in cultivating the firm’s culture and mentoring attorneys and staff, helping to build a cohesive team aligned around a unified standard of excellence.
Josie earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and English from Florida International University and her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. During law school, she was selected as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and received Pro Bono Honors for her service to the community.
She remains an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and The Florida Bar, as well as the Atlanta Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Throughout her career, she has held numerous leadership roles within the legal community, including serving as Past President of the Forsyth County Bar Association (2007–2008), Vice President (2006–2007), and Secretary/Treasurer (2005–2006).
Josie is also committed to community service. She previously volunteered as an attorney coach for Forsyth Central High School’s Mock Trial Team and proudly served two years on the Advisory Board of the Lanier Forsyth County Boys & Girls Club.
Outside of her professional role, Josie enjoys spending time with her husband, Sam, and their two children.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
