Attorney Information
Overview
Samuel J. Siemon is the Founding Partner of The Siemon Law Firm Divorce and Family Law Attorneys, P.C., which he established more than twenty years ago alongside his wife, Josie. Together, they built the firm on a clear principle: family law representation should be strategic, disciplined, and team-driven — not reactive. That founding vision continues to shape the firm’s culture, structure, and standard of excellence today.
Sam earned his Business degree from Flagler College in Florida before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association Family Law Section. Throughout his career, Sam has remained actively involved in the legal community, serving in multiple leadership roles within the Forsyth County Bar Association and volunteering as an attorney coach for the Forsyth Central High School Mock Trial Team.
He has been recognized for professional excellence by Super Lawyers and Atlanta Magazine and has been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer for multiple consecutive years.
Sam is deeply committed to community service. He is an active member of Rotary, where he chaired the Challenge Scholarship Committee for well over a decade, helping provide meaningful educational opportunities to deserving students. The Siemon Law Firm continues to proudly support and fund these scholarships as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in the next generation. Sam has also served on the Board of Directors of Family Haven and on the board of SAFFT, supporting organizations dedicated to strengthening families and protecting those in need.
While Sam built his career practicing exclusively in family law, his current role centers on guiding the firm’s long-term vision and ensuring it consistently operates at the highest level of performance, strategy, and client service.
Outside of the firm, Sam is an instrument-rated private pilot, enjoys playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Josie, and their two children.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
