Overview
Curtis focuses his practice representing individuals in domestic relations, personal injury, criminal and general litigation matters. His domestic relations experience includes divorce, child custody, child support, and adoptions. Curtis is the attorney for the City of Tunnel Hill and also represents banks, insurance companies, and handles other general litigation matters.
Curtis graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia Law School in 2000. While there, he served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and published an article on international adoption in the same publication. He also earned a Master=s Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. Curtis went to Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where he majored in History and minored in Education.
After law school, Curtis clerked for the Superior Court Judges of the Conasauga Judicial Circuit in Whitfield and Murray Counties. He is licensed to practice in all Georgia Courts, included the Georgia Supreme Court, where he has successfully argued two cases to unanimous decisions. Curtis is a past President of the Conasauga Bar Association, and currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Family Support Council. Curtis coached the Dalton High School Mock Trial team for a number of years, and still serves as an evaluator each year during the Regional tournament. He is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dalton.
