Dan's practice focuses exclusively on real property law (residential and commercial), conveyancing and governmental real estate matters and he is recognized as an authority in this practice throughout the North Georgia area. He joined the firm in 1970 after graduation from the University of Virginia Law School. He is a member of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of Georgia and a member of the Condemnation Section of the Bar.
Dan Graduated from Emory University in 1962 (BA, cum laude) where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa and Chairman of the college's Honor Council.
Following graduation from Emory, Dan attended Naval Officer Candidate School and served aboard the USS Farragut (DLG-6) as Gunnery Officer, Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer and Legal officer.
Dan has served on the local United Way Board, Dalton College Foundation and advises the local Habitat for Humanity on real estate matters. He is a member of the Whitfield County Law Library Board. He is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dalton having served as an Elder and Deacon.
