Hired Law firm 2022Mr. Oliver and his office staff have been so helpful in communicating with me and letting me know what was happening with my case. He did an excellent job taking care of my case that ended with no points on my CDL's or insurance for a speeding ticket. I would definitely hire him again if I ever need a traffic attorney.

Hired Law firm 2020I am from Raleigh NC. Mr. Oliver's firm was able to plea down my speeding ticket that was written for 93 mph in a 70 mph in early May 2020 on I-95 to : 74 mph in a 70 mph. That allows me to avoid the super speeder fine and higher insurance costs. The sheriffs deputy that wrote the ticket said I had to appear with my attorney if I got legal representation. That is 100% percent incorrect. The Sheriff's deputy (M. Beckham) said I just needed to pay the ticket since Covid-19 was causing problems in the courts. Do not listen to them. I did not have to come back to court for this ticket. I highly recommend Mr. Oliver. His staff was very easy to work with and kept me up to date on everything. Thank you very much ! Stephen Bastian

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
