Verified ClientHired Attorney 2017-2019I highly recommend Mr. Money without reservation. Mr. Money represented me in an exceptionally complicated divorce case that resulted in a full day trial. He handled my case with compassion and professionalism. Mr. Money has no problem standing up for what he knows to be fair and just. Throughout my case, he was upfront, honest, and most importantly, just a real human. No sugar coating. Just the facts that follow the laws he practices. Mr. Money ensured my case was fully understood and solidly prepared. Divorce is certainly not fun, but there is nobody else I would have wanted by my side but Mr. Money. I will forever be grateful to him for all the work he did to protect the interests of me and my children. He is a class act.

Verified ClientHired Attorney 2018-2019As a plaintiff, I employed Mike to represent me on my Contempt and child custody/parental alienation matter. The case, after almost 1.5 years, is being considered now, so I don't know the outcome; however, I do know that Mike is the hardest working true advocate I know. I charged him with probably one of the most difficult family cases in Georgia and I witnessed him working on it with conviction. He really puts his heart into his work. Even without knowing the outcome of my case, I know that in the 2-day hearing, which should have been a 5-day hearing; no stone was left unturned. He is a good value because of his breadth and depth of knowledge. I send my friends to him and they sometimes don"t hire him on the sole premise of his hourly fee. I say to them, do you want it done right, where you are not having to go back to court to resolve unsettled matters; or do you want to pay someone less and wind up paying a great personal cost due to the less seasoned attorney's half-advocacy? The staff at his firm is very friendly and his partners are outstanding, too. With my permission, they often collaborated, which brought different perspectives into light. He also bills monthly, so there are no surprises seven months or so down the road.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
